South Australia Independent MP Frank Pangallo says Australia needs to consider national conscription as the country “simply cannot defend itself.”

Mr Pangallo joined Sky News host Chris Kenny to discuss the need for national conscription amid the Defence Force's recruitment crisis.

“This country cannot defend itself,” he said.

“Only last week this country announced billions upon billions of dollars in spending on machines of war.

“These machines of war – we do not have enough personnel to be able crew the ships, or the submarines, we don’t have enough boots on the ground.”
