More ‘pearl clutching’ from people with ‘Trump derangement syndrome’

Outrage over former US president Donald Trump’s NATO remarks is more “pearl-clutching” from people with “Trump derangement syndrome,” according to Sky News contributor Kristin Tate.

Mr Trump is facing criticism after telling a United States ally he would encourage Russia to “do whatever they want” if NATO nations did not spend enough on defence.

The former president was holding a political rally in South Carolina over the weekend when he recalled the conversation.

“They’re constantly outraged, constantly appalled, and their constant outrage and state of being appalled has just left the voters with fatigue,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“It has no impact anymore. Americans are sick of it.”
