British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, June 17, marking his second visit to Kyiv since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. “Many days of this war have proved that Great Britain’s support for Ukraine is firm and resolute,” said Zelensky when he posted the video on Facebook. Johnson’s last visit to Ukraine was in April, when he was the first G7 leader to visit Ukraine as an expression of wartime solidarity. His second surprise visit came a day after leaders of France, Italy, Germany, and Romania also traveled to Kyiv to meet with Zelensky. “It is good to be in Kyiv again,” wrote Johnson on Twitter alongside a picture of the two leaders outside the Mariyinsky Palace in Kyiv.
