Labor has to ‘prove themselves’ on foreign policy

almost 2 years in news

Liberal Senator Jim Molan says he agrees with what Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong have been doing in relation to foreign policy, but he wants to "see the results".

"I think AUKUS and Quad are good, and I think Quad will move on at a glacial pace going into the future, but it's critically important for us," Mr Molan told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

He said it was "exactly the right thing" for Mr Albanese to go to the Quad meeting.

"It was exactly the right thing for our new government to do to send Penny Wong into Fiji because the Pacific Forum is going to be the key.

"These people now have got to prove themselves."
