The United Kingdom is in the middle of its own inflation pressure as families struggle with rising living costs.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has shared detailed discussions with his cabinet looking for innovative solutions to the crisis.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak said the government will act – but only if the crisis continues.

“It would be silly to do that now or last month or the month before when we don’t know exactly what the situation in the autumn is going to be,” he said.
