Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says the Labor Party will do "anything" it can to stop the mining industry in Australia.

This comes as there have been contradictions regarding Labor's policy for reducing emissions in the coal mining industry.

"That's why these people are completely untrustworthy on economic policy and on coal mining and on mining in general," Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.
