Morrison’s comments about being blessed ‘totally overblown’

Sky News contributor Caleb Bond says Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s comment about being blessed with children who do not have disabilities has been “totally overblown”.

“It is taking something that was meant in the nicest, most honest possible way, and trying to blow it out for political gain,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“He was simply trying to empathise with that woman who had asked him a question, and say ‘look, I haven’t walked in your shoes, so I can’t possibly begin to know exactly how that feels, but I’m glad you’re talking to me, and I want to try and understand’.

“That is what he was saying.”
