Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has dismissed rumours he is planning on running for president in 2024, saying the speculation is "manufactured."

“All the speculation about me is purely manufactured,” Governor DeSantis said.

“I just do my job and we work hard … I hear all this stuff and honestly it’s nonsense.”

The comments some as the Governor confirmed he will be headlining a Nebraska event with other potential 2024 candidates.

Governor DeSantis is considered by some as a rising star in the Republican Party.

So much so that Donald Trump has not ruled out nominating him as his potential VP candidate should the former president run for office again in 2024.
