US President Joe Biden arrived in the UK on June 9 on his first overseas trip since taking office. This footage, posted to Twitter, shows the president’s convoy driving in Cornwall, after Air Force One touched down there late on June 9 ahead of the G7 summit. Air Force One first arrived earlier in the evening at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, where the president and First Lady Jill Biden spoke to troops. UK Prime Minister Johnson was due to meet with Biden on June 10 for the leaders’ first in-person talks, at which they are expected to agree a new “Atlantic Charter” on issues including climate change, security, and coordinating the resumption of transatlantic travel.
