Liberal primary vote in Tasmania gives ‘a bit of hope’ for Scott Morrison

The Tasmanian election provides a “bit of hope” for the federal Coalition and Prime Minister Scott Morrison, according to Sky News host Paul Murray.
The Tasmanian Liberal government have so far secured 12 seats in the state’s parliament and is expected to gain another in the electorate of Clark which will take it to majority government status.
The Tasmanian state electorates of Bass, Braddon, and Lyons all mirror the seats in the federal parliament, and the Liberal Party took a majority primary vote in all three.
“Bass and Braddon have basically flipped every three years for the past more than a decade,” he said.
The Liberals recorded a 60 per cent primary vote in Bass on Saturday, 57 per cent in Braddon, and 51 per cent in Lyons currently held by Labor federally.
“There’s a bit of hope for the Liberals when it comes to a federal election,” Mr Murray said.
