‘Vile treatment’ of Jenny Morrison indicative of ‘loopy left’ hypocrisy

Sky News host Rita Panahi says the “vile treatment of Jenny Morrison by the loopy left” proves conservative women rarely receive the support afforded their more progressive counterparts.

Actress Magda Szubanski recently compared a tweeted photo showing Jenny Morrison watching her husband - Prime Minister Scott Morrison - sign a condolence book for the Queen, to a dystopian book 'The Handmaid’s Tale' where married woman are subservient to their husbands.

Ms Szubanski tweeted, “I genuinely thought this was a photoshopped Handmaid’s Tale meme. But no. It’s 21st century Aussie life”.

The actress also posted a picture which zoomed in on Ms Morrison’s hand with the forefinger and thumb touching.

While that is generally considered the 'ok' sign, Ms Panahi said, “among the hard Left who fell for a 4chan hoax it's considered a symbol of far-right white supremacy”.

Ms Panahi said Ms Szubanski’s commentary was “frankly extreme” and highlighted the "hypocrisy" evident in many left-wing attacks on conservative figureheads.

“Can you imagine what would happen if a mainstream celebrity suggested Kevin Rudd's wife was a white supremacist?" she asked.
