A sold-out crowd filled Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, for the Texas Rangers’ Major League Baseball home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, April 5, local media reported. The crowd of 38,238 at Globe Life Field was the largest crowd for a sporting event in the United States since the pandemic, the Fort-Worth Telegram said. The Rangers outlined safety precautions ahead of the game including fans being required to wear masks, enforcing safe distancing in concession and retail lines, as well as making touchless hand sanitizing stations available throughout concourses. The Rangers lost to the Blue Jays six to two. Video shared by Daniel Escobedo shows fans at Globe Life Field on Monday. Credit: Daniel Escobedo via Storyful
