The Lions Club of Portmore recently donated custom-made hats and blankets to children of the oncology ward, Bustamante Hospital for Children.
These gifts, said a release, were knitted by the members of the club in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. At far left is Verona Hall-Brown, the club's Sight & Health Committee chairperson. "We hope that these gifts will bring warmth and comfort to the children as we pray for their full and speedy recovery," the club president said at the brief handover ceremony.
