673 new COVID 19 cases reported in B.C., including four in Island Health region

Health officials reported 673 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C. on Thursday, including four in Island Health.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said a total of 44,776 people have now tested positive for COVID-19. Twenty-one additional people have died, bringing the number of deaths in B.C. due to the virus to 713.
Of those who have tested positive, 32,963 are considered to be fully recovered.
There are 358 people are in hospital, including 93 in intensive care or acute care units.
No new outbreaks at long-term care facilities were reported, but Henry said there were two new community outbreaks.
