Qantas pleads with PM to extend JobKeeper
almost 4 years in news
Qantas CEO Alan Joyce has pleaded with the Prime Minister to extend JobKeeper beyond its September cut-off for airline employees.
However, Alan Joyce is facing union backlash for axing 6,000 jobs before the government revealed whether it would provide further support for the aviation industry.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he knew particular sectors would need continued support beyond the end of the JobKeeper subsidy.
