Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reaffirmed Australia is “on the road back to a COVID-safe economy”. Delivering an update on the pandemic, Mr Morrison said there had been “good progress” as he looked to potentially ease restrictions in four weeks' time. "We are on the road back and that is demonstrated by the measures that we already have taken and we are on the way back to a COVID-safe economy as well, which is what we have to achieve,” he said. The prime minister said he and Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy would provide an update on the nation’s coronavirus curve on Friday.
