“For the first time in 300 years, there is not a living person on Barbuda,” Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda Ronald Sanders told The Washington Diplomat late last month. “People have lived there for over three centuries. Everything they own is there, and so are their entire identities — and they’re anxious to get back.
