Jason E. Chaffetz (; born March 26, 1967) is a Fox News contributor and American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district, from 2009 until 2017. He was the chairman of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2015 until 2017.During his tenure as a US Representative, his political positions included opposition to the Affordable Care Act, same-sex marriage, and the scientific consensus on climate change. He has expressed skepticism over mandatory vaccinations and pledged to hold hearings to determine their safety. He has been a vocal critic of the Obama administration's conduct in the 2012 Benghazi attack. He has also been critical of Planned Parenthood.
