Harmeet Dhillon

Harmeet Dhillon (born 1969) is an American lawyer and Republican party official. She is vice chairman of the California Republican Party, and a member of the Republican National Committee. After attending grade school in Bronx, New York while her father completed his medical training, Harmeet Dhillon grew up in Smithfield, North Carolina, but for five years her mother drove her 45 miles (72 km) to a private school in Raleigh, North Carolina. In the summers, her mother took the children to spend two months with their grandparents in India. She entered Dartmouth at age 16, and wrote for the Dartmouth Review; in her senior year she was its editor. Following the college's suspension of Review staffers after an incident with Professor Bill Cole, and an order from New Hampshire Superior Court reinstating them, Miss Dhillon changed her major from premed with an eye to studying law. During her editorship, the Review was attacked as anti-Semitic for an article satirizing college president James O. Freedman and his administration as Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. (President Freedman was Jewish.) Wikipedia
