Andrea Jacqueline Leadsom PC (pronounced ; née Salmon; born 13 May 1963) is a British Conservative Party politician who became Leader of the House of Commons on 11 June 2017. She previously served as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 14 July 2016, having held the post of Minister of State for Energy at the Department of Energy and Climate Change since May 2015 and the posts of Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister from April 2014.
