Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty published footage showing long lines of traffic at the border crossing between Russia and Georgia on September 21, after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial military mobilization. The footage shows long lines of vehicles in Russia’s North Ossetia region at the checkpoint of Verkhny Lars. According to RFE, the woman speaking off camera says, “Cars have already spilled into the oncoming lane. Some skipped the line, some were in the line earlier. It is impossible to drive. The border [crossing] is jammed. A traffic jam has been created. It is not possible to pass from Russia to Georgia.” Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty via Storyful
