A former murder accused was shot dead on Wednesday night at his home at Enterprise in Chaguanas.
Dead is Dave Junior Nesbitt, also called Abdul Malik. The police said he was a member of the Unruly Isis gang.
On May 29, Avinash Seepersad, known as Abdul Wakeel and Krysis, was shot dead in Enterprise. Years ago, the police had described him as leader of Unruly Isis, a claim his relatives denied.
Nesbett's murder happened at about 10 pm at his home at Walters Lane. Gunshots were heard and the police were called.
Nesbett died at the scene. His common-law wife Shani Williams, 32, and her brother Stephen Williams, 37, a plumber, were hit. They were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope.
Nesbett was one of three people charged with Amos Dick’s murder. Dick was shot and killed in Enterprise on October 17, 2015.
Nesbett and his two co-accused, Adrian "Cudjoe" Clarke and Malcolm Quintin, were freed in October last year. The main witness had migrated.
Clarke was gunned down at his home at Postman Drive in Enterprise a month later. No one was arrested.
Homicide Bureau Region III police are investigating.
