There’s been ‘worse ideas’ than Labor’s vaccination cash incentives Clennell

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says he’s “open to any tactics” towards the goal of increasing vaccination rates to protect the community and exit lockdown.

“I guess I’m seeing this through the lens of Sydney lockdown seems like it can only end when we get to about 70-80 per cent vaccination because Gladys Berejiklian seems to have thrown in the towel on the lockdowns getting the numbers down," Mr Clennell told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“So I guess I’m open to any tactics a government can employ which will get up to 80 per cent, and people in the federal government will tell you they’re confident of the 70, they’re not so confident in the 80.

“I think that towards the end of the year the government's got to look at every possibility possible to get towards 80 per cent.”
