THE TOP seeds in the boys Under-14 singles, James Hadden and Kale Dalla Costa, continued their impressive run of form at the 2020 RBC Junior Tennis Tournament as they remain unbeaten after day-two action served off on Sunday.
At the Trinidad Country Club in Maraval, the division’s top seed Hadden got past Ross Wortman 4-2, 4-0 while second ranked Dall Costa extended his round robin dominance by easing to a flawless 4-0, 4-0 win over Juan Fernando Ara Gonzalez.
Meanwhile, Christiana Hills, highest ranked Under-14 girl, showed early intent by getting past Arya Siewrattan 4-1, 4-0. Brianna Harricharan also sounded a clear warning after defeating Neila Maraj 4-2, 4-1.
The top seeds of the Boys Udner-12 also had powerful displays on Sunday. First seed Daniel Rahaman cruised past Justin Horsford 4-1, 4-1; second ranked Josehowah Campbell-Smith made no mistake against Aaron Subero 4-0, 4-0 while third seed Lucas Small made light work of Connor Carrington 4-0, 4-1.
In the girls’ equivalent, second seed Em-Miryam Campbell-Smith beat Shiloh Walker 4-2, 4-2; Elyse Ferguson bettered Kimora-Lee Edwards 4-0, 4-2 while Naomi Mohammed strolled past Kate Broughton via walkover.
